This year the fire department held a fire safety poster contest for the 2nd and 3rd grade at Rhodes Elementary. Children created and decorated posters themed around home fire escape. Ribbons were awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, along with coupons for free ice cream donated by he Dairy Queen of Van.
